A successful Regional Investor Event!

What an incredible gathering at the recent 3Ci event (North East & Yorkshire Regional Investor Forum), where over 100 delegates and 30 dynamic speakers converged to chart the course for green growth and sustainable transformation in Leeds.

The panel on Public-Private Financing of Net Zero Programs brought together investors and regional leaders, emphasizing collaboration's power in reducing carbon emissions and mobilizing capital.

We heard from mayors Tracy Brabin and Oliver Coppard as well as UKIB’s Lorna Pimlott’s underlining the critical role of financing in achieving sustainable goals in this region.

The workshops on shaping bankable local Net Zero Projects provided a platform for local authorities to present initiatives at various stages, with investors offering strategic input to propel these projects forward.

A huge thank you to all the speakers, investors, and delegates who made this event a resounding success! Let's keep the momentum alive and continue driving positive change.

3Ci Round Table with Mayor of Bristol, Marvin Rees

Marvin was joined by his Chief Executive, Stephen Peacock, and shared details about Bristol City Leap, a long-term partnership approach aimed at accelerating green energy investment in Bristol and contributing to the city's overall decarbonization. Representatives from diverse industries, including finance, development, and engineering consultancies, engaged in discussions about their experiences in collaborative efforts.

The conversation highlighted how organizations like 3Ci can play a crucial role in assisting Local Authorities in achieving Net Zero.

A fond Farewell and a warm 3Ci Welcome!

We would like to express our deep gratitude to Keith Bottomley, who has been an invaluable member of 3Ci's Advisory Board. Keith's dedication and contributions over the past two years, especially in his role as the chair of City of London Corporation Policy Committee, have played a pivotal role in advancing our mission.

His efforts have not only facilitated collaboration with the investor community but have also been instrumental in shaping the next phases of our work on pipelines and neighbourhoods.

We are thrilled to welcome Alison Gowman as Keith's successor to our Advisory Board. A seasoned commercial property lawyer in the City of London, Alison's wealth of experience, combined with her role as founder and non-executive director of GFI and active leadership in the Active City Network, uniquely positions her to enhance 3Ci's mission. Her deep understanding of property investment, coupled with a dedication to environmental causes, perfectly aligns with 3Ci's goal of supporting local authorities in securing long-term finance for achieving net zero. Welcome Alison, we look forward to working with you!
